🍃 The Two Mango Seeds – A Story About Trusting the Process.

We hear it often—“Trust the process.”
But what does it truly mean?
Is it just a motivational phrase… or is there something deeper behind it?
To answer that, let me tell you a story.
Once upon a time in a small village, a kind-hearted man went to the market and bought two different varieties of mangoes. As he took the first bite, the sweetness filled his heart with joy. He thought of his children and grandchildren, and a gentle smile touched his face.
He whispered to himself, “These are not just fruits. They’re a gift. I want my family to enjoy this same sweetness for generations.”
So, after enjoying the mangoes, he carefully took out the seeds and decided to plant them in his garden. But he didn’t rush. He knew that life begins with patience.
He wrapped the seeds in a clean cloth and placed them in a quiet corner of his home. Every day, he sprinkled a bit of water over the cloth, keeping the seeds moist and warm—just the right conditions for them to sprout.
The seeds felt something was changing. Inside, something stirred. And though they didn’t understand what was happening, they trusted the hands that held them.
On the third day, tiny sprouts began to emerge from both seeds.
Delighted, the man picked them up with care and walked to his garden. He dug two small holes, placed each seed in the soil, and gently covered them.
The seeds were suddenly surrounded by darkness. Cold, heavy soil pressed around them. They couldn’t see the sunlight. They couldn’t feel the breeze.
At first, both seeds were frightened.
The Seeds’ Conversation
Seed A, though scared, whispered to itself:
“I can’t see anything… I can’t breathe. But I remember how kindly he held me. He gave me water, warmth, and time. Maybe… just maybe, he has a plan.”
Seed B, on the other hand, grew angry.
“What is this? I was comfortable before! I was happy and safe. And now I’m buried under dirt. Why would he do this to me? I won’t survive here!”
The Same Soil, the Same Love—Two Different Reactions
The master returned every morning. He watered both seeds and added rich fertiliser. He shielded the soil from animals and cared for them both equally.
But what the seeds did with that care made all the difference.
Seed A opened itself to the nutrients. It absorbed the water. Slowly, it began sending roots downward and felt stronger with each passing day. The darkness didn’t bother it anymore—it began to understand this was where real growth started.
Seed B, however, remained bitter. It refused to absorb anything. It spent all its energy doubting, complaining, and cursing the one who had planted it.
The Turning Point
Days turned into weeks.
One morning, a tender green shoot broke through the surface of the soil. It stretched toward the sunlight, gently swaying with the wind.
Seed A had risen. It breathed fresh air for the first time, full of life and purpose.
But Seed B never grew. It had shut itself off from the help it was given. Eventually, it withered away—unseen, unloved, but not because it was abandoned. It was because it gave up before it even began.
Moral of the Story: You’ve Already Been Given What You Need
Both seeds had the same opportunity. The same care. The same conditions.
But Seed A chose faith. It trusted the process—even when buried, even when it couldn’t see the light.
Seed B chose doubt. And in doing so, it rejected the very nourishment it needed to become something great.

What Can We Learn from This Story?
- God’s plan often begins in the dark. We may feel buried, but in truth, we’re being planted.
- Growth starts beneath the surface. Before we rise, we must root ourselves.
- Your attitude decides your outcome. Trust leads to transformation; doubt leads to decay.

✨ Final Thought
You may be going through a dark season right now. You may feel forgotten, unseen, or overwhelmed. But remember this:
🌿 You are not buried. You are being planted.
🌿 Trust the process.
🌿 Absorb the lessons.
🌿 Keep growing.
Your moment to rise will come—just like Seed A.
